MJDC Developments have presented early plans for a large housing scheme in Mickle Trafford. The Parish Council is opposed to this proposal.
Rose Manor – Proposed Development in Mickle Trafford
MJDC Developments have shared plans for up to 222 homes, new commercial units, and access from the A56 and Station Lane. The Parish Council is opposed to the proposal due to its scale, traffic impact, pressure on services, and the effect on village character. A planning application has not yet been submitted. Residents will be able to comment once it is live on the Cheshire West & Chester Council planning portal.
What is being proposed?
A scheme of up to 222 homes, a convenience store, commercial units, open space and new cycle/walking routes based on the developer’s exhibition material.
Why is the Parish Council opposed?
Because of the scale of the development, likely traffic issues, strain on local services and the impact on the rural setting of Mickle Trafford.
Can local people get priorityBoard 2 Masterplan (1) for the affordable homes?
No. As noted in the developer’s own documents, Mickle Trafford does not currently have a “local priority” allocation policy, so affordable homes would be allocated borough-wide.
Has a planning application been submitted?
Not yet. When it is submitted, all residents will be able to comment online.
How will we know when to comment?
The Parish Council will update the website immediately with the planning application reference and a link to the CWAC planning portal
